The following is a non-exhaustive list of START International\u00ae’s trademarks and service marks.<\/p>

When using the marks in publications that will be distributed only in the United States, include the appropriate TM, SM, or \u00ae symbol on first use. For publications that will be distributed outside the United States, do not include trademark symbols. Instead use the appropriate trademark attribution notice, for example: Labelmoto and TheTapeDispenser are trademarks of START International\u00ae, registered in the U.S. and other countries.<\/p>

The list also includes one or more suggested generic terms for each trademark. For all publications, include an appropriate generic term after the trademark the first time it appears. Thereafter, the generic term should appear frequently with the trademark. (Note: These generic terms are only suggestions, and there may be other words that are equally appropriate.)<\/p>

Remember that trademarks are adjectives, and cannot be made plural or possessive.<\/p>

Guidelines for Using START International\u00ae Trademarks and Copyrights\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

These guidelines are for START International\u00ae authorized distributors, customers, and other parties wishing to use START International\u2019s trademarks, service marks or images in promotional, advertising, instructional, or reference materials, or on their web sites, products, labels, or packaging. Use of the START International\u00ae Logo for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of START International\u00ae may constitute trademark infringement and unfair competition in violation of federal and state laws. Use of START International\u00ae’s trademarks may be prohibited, unless expressly authorized.<\/p>

If you are a START International\u00ae Authorized Distributor , you may be subject to additional restrictions.<\/p>

START International\u00ae\u2019s trademarks, service marks, trade names, and trade dress are valuable assets. In following these guidelines, you help us protect our valuable trademark rights and strengthen our corporate and brand identities. By using a START International\u00ae trademark, in whole or in part, you are acknowledging that START International\u00ae is the sole owner of the trademark and promising that you will not interfere with START International\u00ae\u2019s rights in the trademark, including challenging START International\u00ae\u2019s use, registration of, or application to register such trademark, alone or in combination with other words, anywhere in the world, and that you will not harm, misuse, or bring into disrepute any START International\u00ae trademark. The goodwill derived from using any part of a START International\u00ae trademark exclusively inures to the benefit of and belongs to START International\u00ae. Except for the limited right to use as expressly permitted under these Guidelines, no other rights of any kind are granted hereunder, by implication or otherwise. If you have any questions regarding these guidelines, please talk to your START International\u00ae representative or submit your query to START International\u00ae.<\/p>

Authorized Use of START International\u00ae Trademarks<\/strong><\/h3>

1. Advertising, Promotional, and Sales Materials:<\/strong>\u00a0Only START International\u00ae and its authorized distributors and partners may use the START International\u00ae Logo in advertising, promotional, and sales materials. Such authorized parties may use the START International\u00ae Logo only as specified in their agreement with START International\u00ae\u00a0and any associated Guidelines and such use must always be in conjunction with the appropriate terms that define the relationship authorized by their contract with START International\u00ae. For example:<\/p>

2. Compatibility:<\/strong>\u00a0Distributors may use START International\u00ae, Labelmoto\u00ae, TheTapeDispenser\u00ae, or any other START International\u00ae word mark (but not the START International\u00ae Logo or other START International\u00ae-owned graphic symbol\/logo) in a referential phrase on packaging or promotional\/advertising materials to describe that the third party product is compatible with the referenced START International\u00ae\u00a0product or technology, provided they comply with the following requirements.<\/p>

a. The START International\u00ae\u00a0word mark is not part of the product name.<\/p>

b. The START International\u00ae\u00a0word mark is used in a referential phrase such as \u201cruns on,\u201d \u201cfor use with,\u201d \u201cfor,\u201d or \u201ccompatible with.\u201d<\/p>

c. The START International\u00ae\u00a0word mark appears less prominent than the product name.<\/p>

d. The product is in fact compatible with, or otherwise works with, the referenced START International\u00ae\u00a0product.<\/p>

e. The reference to START International\u00ae\u00a0does not create a sense of endorsement, sponsorship, or false association with START International\u00ae\u00a0or START International\u00ae’s\u00a0products.<\/p>

f. The use does not show START International\u00ae\u00a0or its products in a false or derogatory light.<\/p>

3. Publications, Seminars, and Conferences:<\/strong>\u00a0You may use an START International\u00ae\u00a0word mark in connection with book titles, magazines, periodicals, seminars, or conferences provided you comply with the following requirements:<\/p>

a. The use is referential and less prominent than the rest of the title. Acceptable: ABC CONFERENCE for Labelmoto\u00ae Label Dispensers<\/p>

b. The use reflects favorably on both START International\u00ae\u00a0and START International\u00ae’s\u00a0products or technology.<\/p>

c. Your name and logo appear more prominent than the START International\u00ae’s\u00a0word mark on all printed materials related to the publication, seminar or conference.<\/p>

d. The START International\u00ae\u00a0logo or any other START International\u00ae-owned graphic symbol, logo, icon or image does not appear on or in the publication or on any materials related to the publication, seminar, or conference without express written permission from START International\u00ae.<\/p>

e. A disclaimer of sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by START International\u00ae, similar to the following, is included on the publication and on all related printed materials: \u201c(Title) is an independent (publication) and has not been authorized, sponsored, or otherwise approved by START International\u00ae\u201d<\/p>

f. A trademark attribution notice is included in the credit section giving notice of START International\u00ae\u2019s ownership of its trademark(s). Please refer to the section below titled \u201cProper Trademark Notice and Attribution.\u201d<\/p>

4. Web Sites:<\/strong>\u00a0Web sites that serve only as noncommercial informational forums concerning a START International\u00ae\u00a0product or technology may use the appropriate START International\u00ae\u00a0word mark, provided such use complies with the guidelines set forth in Section 3 above.<\/p>

Unauthorized Use of START International\u00ae\u00a0Trademarks<\/h3>

1. Company, Product, or Service Name:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not use or register, in whole or in part, START International\u00ae, Labelmoto\u00ae, TheTapeDispenser\u00ae, TheLabelDispenser\u00ae, TheDieCutPartDispenser\u00ae, cylliSIZE\u2122, or any other START International\u00ae\u00a0trademark, including START International\u00ae-owned graphic symbols, logos, icons, or an alteration thereof, as or as part of a company name, trade name, product name, or service name except as specifically noted in these guidelines.<\/p>

2. START International\u00ae\u00a0Logo and START International\u00ae-owned Graphic Symbols:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not use the START International\u00ae\u00a0Logo or any other START International\u00ae-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon on or in connection with web sites, products, packaging, manuals, promotional\/advertising materials, or for any other purpose except pursuant to an express written trademark license from START International\u00ae, such as a distributor agreement.<\/p>

3. Variations, Takeoffs or Abbreviations:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not use a variation of the START International\u00ae\u00a0logo for any purpose. Third parties cannot use a variation, phonetic equivalent, foreign language equivalent, takeoff, or abbreviation of an START International\u00ae\u00a0trademark for any purpose. For example:<\/p>

Not acceptable:\u00a0\u00a0 Label Moto \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0TheTapeDispensers \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0START Intl<\/p>

4. Disparaging Manner:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not use a START International\u00ae\u00a0trademark or any other START International\u00ae-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon in a disparaging manner.<\/p>

5. Endorsement or Sponsorship:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not use START International\u00ae, Labelmoto\u00ae, TheTapeDispenser\u00ae, or any other START International\u00ae\u00a0trademark, including START International\u00ae-owned graphic symbols\/logos, or icons, in a manner that would imply START International\u00ae\u2019s affiliation with or endorsement, sponsorship, or support of a third party product or service.<\/p>

6. Merchandise Items:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not manufacture, sell or give-away merchandise items, such as T-shirts and mugs, bearing START International\u00ae, Labelmoto\u00ae, TheTapeDispenser\u00ae or any other START International\u00ae\u00a0trademark, including symbols, logos, or icons, except pursuant to an express written trademark license from START International\u00ae.<\/p>

7. START International\u00ae\u2019s Trade Dress:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not imitate the distinctive START International\u00ae\u00a0packaging, web site design, or logos.<\/p>

8. Slogans and Taglines:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not use or imitate an START International\u00ae\u00a0slogan or tagline.<\/p>

For example: \u201cWe Are Dispensers\u2122\u201d<\/p>

9. Domain Names:<\/strong>\u00a0You may not use an identical or virtually identical START International\u00ae\u00a0trademark as a second level domain name.<\/p>

Not acceptable: \u00a0\u00a0 \u201ccylliSIZE.com\u201d \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cstartinternationaldispensers.com\u201d<\/p>

Rules for Proper Use of START International\u00ae\u00a0Trademarks<\/h3>

1. Trademarks are adjectives used to modify nouns; the noun is the generic name of a product or service.<\/p>

2. As adjectives, trademarks may not be used in the plural or possessive form.<\/p>

Correct: Labelmoto\u00ae Label Dispensers offer unparalleled quality.<\/p>

Not Correct: Labelmotos offer\u00a0unparalleled quality.<\/p>

3. An appropriate generic term must appear after the trademark the first time it appears in a printed piece, and as often as is reasonable after that. Suggested generic terms are provided in the START International\u00ae\u00a0Trademark List which is posted on the START International\u00ae\u00a0web site here.<\/p>

4. Always spell and capitalize START International\u00ae\u2019s trademarks exactly as they are shown in the START International\u00ae\u00a0Trademark List. Do not shorten or abbreviate START International\u00ae\u00a0product names. Do not make up names that contain START International\u00ae\u00a0trademarks.<\/p>

Proper Trademark Notice and Attribution<\/h3>

1. Distribution Within the United States Only<\/strong><\/p>

a. On product, product documentation, or other product communications that will be distributed only in the United States, use the appropriate trademark symbol (TM, SM, \u00ae) the first time the START International\u00ae\u00a0trademark appears in the text of the advertisement, brochure, or other material.<\/p>

b. Refer to the START International\u00ae\u00a0Trademark List for the correct trademark symbol, spelling of the trademark, and generic term to use with the trademark. Generally, the symbol appears at the right shoulder of the trademark.<\/p>

c. Include an attribution of START International\u00ae\u2019s ownership of its trademarks within the credit notice section of your product, product documentation, or other product communication.<\/p>

Depictions of START International\u00ae\u00a0Products<\/h3>

1. Endorsement or Sponsorship:<\/strong>\u00a0START International\u00ae does not support the use of its logos, company names, product names, or images of START International\u00ae\u00a0products by other parties in marketing, promotional or advertising materials as their use may create the perception that START International\u00ae\u00a0endorses or sponsors the product, service or promotion.<\/p>

a. The image is an actual photograph of the genuine START International\u00ae\u00a0product and not an artist\u2019s rendering (Note: You must obtain express written permission from START International\u00ae\u00a0before using any photograph owned or licensed by START International\u00ae).<\/p>

c. The START International\u00ae\u00a0product is shown only in the best light, in a manner or context that reflects favorably on the START International\u00ae\u00a0products and on START International\u00ae.<\/p>

d.
